Ireland Phase 1

Tomorrow we are off to Portugal after 5 weeks in Ireland. A lot has happened.
• Went to Killbeggan Horse Races.
• Met the O'Donnell family (my mother’s extended family) at a one year anniversary mass in Gowran in County Kilkenny.
• Played golf in Sligo and Mayo.
• Visited Killarney and connected with friends and played some more golf, stopping off at Palmerstown to play golf on the way.
• Attended my sister Gilly's 60th surprise Birthday Party in Dublin.
• Had Chompie from Killarney come stay for two nights.
• Met an old Boarding School friend who I hadn't seen in 40 years.
• Got to hold my newborn grandnephew Leo.
• Visited Mike and Hellena Moran's mansion in Elphin, Roscommon and attended the livestock auction while there.

Fun times! We have being enjoying our Overseas Membership at New Forest Golf Club. Playing two to three times per week.
It’s busting my balls but at least Caroline’s handicap is going 📉 so I’m beating her in our monthly competitions. Hooray.

Jack sailed through twice once before Croatia and once after. Got to golf with him and he and Katy also came to Sligo with us. Great time.

Have not done a thing with the flat in Mullingar. Well, I cleaned the windows. Didn't feel like we did much until I started writing this out. Weather is not looking great for Ireland these first few days of July so looking forward to sunshine in the Algarve.
