Route 66 Day 1: Chicago to Joliet

Four of us left Milwaukee this morning at 0500 😳. We stopped at a couple of HDs and one of my Tour of Honor locations on the way, and arrived in downtown Chicago at about 0730. We left early so we could eat at Lou Mitchell's. Even older than Route 66, this diner has been serving road travellers delicious meals since 1923 😱. It was fantastic!!!

After breakfast, we grabbed pictures of the start and end signs, then went to the Navy Pier where Harley Motor Company arranged free parking for all of our bikes so we could take a group photo by the new sign they erected there.
