Route 66 Day 6 THE END: Tulsa to Amarillo

I left the hotel at 0400 in a terrible thunderstorm. The torrential downpour lasted until 0500, but by 0600 I was on dry roads, which lasted the rest of the day.

Since I have done so much of the Oklahoma Route 66 and all of the Texas, I decided to grab some Tour of Honor, Ride to Eat, and dealership photos today. Success except I found another shutdown HD in Stillwater OK 😟.

I also went to the midpoint of the entire Route 66, which is in Adrian, TX, about 45 miles west of Amarillo, so I could say I truly did half of the route 😁. Once I got that far, I decided to keep going to Tucumcari NM--60 miles further--for a ToH pic 🤣.

Our final rally dinner was at Tripps HD, who always puts on a good meal with plenty of food. I had a great time with awesome people. I can't wait for the second half later this summer!!
