NM152 -- Ride It!

I REALLY had trouble getting out of bed today 😔. I forgot to set my alarm and didn't wake up until after 0700, but didn't roll until almost 0900.

I had planned to have lunch with my friend Michael in El Paso, but with my late start, that turned into dinner.

Once I got rolling, I really missed my heated grips, which haven't worked since the semi knocked me over. It was only 50°F 😱! But despite the chill and some rain, I collected two Tour of Honor stops for New Mexico before meeting up with Michael in Fabens TX at Cattleman's Steakhouse at Indian Cliffs Ranch. Several movies were filmed there, including Courage Under Fire (Meg Ryan, Denzel Washington). A wonderful 3-hour long fellowship and amazingly delicious meal. Thanks for waiting for me!!!

I was so full and contented after seeing Michael and eating so much food that I grabbed the first motel room I could find. Then I texted my friend in Memphis to see if I could stay with her again tomorrow. It's over 1100 miles to get to her, but I need service and I'm sick of camping it. Wish me luck!! 🤞

Oh yeah, and if you're in southern New Mexico, make sure to ride NM152!!! Comparable to Arizona's Devils Highway and absolutely stunning. Lots of camping along the river. Beautiful scenery, twisty squiggles, and good road surface!!! Ride it!!!
