Beaujolais & Lyon food tour

This morning we set off after breakfast on our way to Beaujolais which is the wine area. Once again it will was very green and lush everywhere. We saw various pretty villages and actually stopped at a town called boujais which had a little market a gorgeous church and a very pretty central area. Eventually we got to a winery set in a beautiful castle like Maison. We had expert explanations of the white and red wines which tended to be mainly gammays. It is also a wedding venue. This town was very excited because the Tour de France goes through tomorrow. Overall a very pleasant morning.Read more
