    looks better from the outside but not where I worked beforeWhile crossing the Wilberforce River I found a small animal in the middle of the stream on a stoneWe first crossed the Wilberforce River 10 km before its confluence with the Rakaiathe first sight of the Rakaia River while walking through a farm, looked like a public road...the mountain range on the other side and the saddle we crossed on the following daywalking through the river in the morningIt was way easier than expected, after being told it is really dangerousthe river can rise and fall in 12 h after heavy rain in the mountainswe crossed around 168k cubic meters / second after dropping down from 222k and just over knee deep
