We arrived early in Marrakesh after a flight from Milan and caught a bus to the city center. Our first stop was a stroll through the vibrant market, where we enjoyed a delicious lunch at a local restaurant tucked away on a quiet street. Afterward, we visited the Saadian Tombs before checking into our Riad for the night.
In the afternoon, we met a friendly local who spoke excellent English and gave us an insightful tour of the markets, sharing stories and details about the city’s rich history. We then explored the Bahia Palace, admiring its stunningly decorated rooms and peaceful inner gardens. Our final stop was the Koutoubia Mosque, though we couldn’t enter it.
We ended the day with dinner at the renowned Le Terrasse des Épices and a peaceful night walk through the Medina, making our way back to the Riad.Read more
