    September 25, 2024 in Morocco ⋅ ☀️ 27 °C

For the next three days, we have a pre-organized trip starting early in the morning. A shuttle picks us up from the Riad, and we head out on a scenic drive through the stunning Atlas Mountains. Our first major stop is Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

This ancient fortified village, or ksar, is famous for its striking architecture, built entirely with mud, hay, and water. Its earthen clay structures blend beautifully with the desert landscape, offering a glimpse into the rich history of the region. Ait Benhaddou has served as a backdrop for many famous films due to its unique and well-preserved beauty.

After exploring the site, we’ll continue our journey further into Morocco's southern landscapes.
