A Thousand Horses Over Water

The speedboat carried four engines, each with its own roar—pure horsepower cutting through the Andaman Sea.
A thousand horses running over water.

I had never been on a boat with this kind of power before, and I loved the raw force of it.
I sat at the back, where you can actually see and feel the journey—
not on the front seats where everything becomes too clean, too distant.

The sea was alive, jumping against the hull, and I reached down to touch it—warm, even in open water.
The sky looked composed, as if someone had carefully placed each cloud in its exact position.

Power. Speed. Noise.
And yet… I’ve felt more adrenaline on a sailboat, leaning into the wind, water brushing my hand, moving against the elements, tacking into the wind.
There is something deeper in that kind of motion—less spectacle, more truth.

Today was about arriving.
About crossing.
About letting the past stay behind while the islands slowly appeared on the horizon.
