Day 3: Traveling to ACTS Field Station

We started this morning ready to go at 8:45 AM. Our guides met up at the Hotel Jungle House. We took a 5 minute trip to the Explorama boat dock. The total trip to ACTS field station was 2.5-3 hours. We took one big covered speed boat and a smaller boat through the creek. As we approached the lodge, the musicians/staff and Amanda welcomed us.

We had a delicious lunch prepared. We got jungle ready for a hike up to the canopy walk. It was so terrifying but exciting to be up high in the trees with a bird’s eye view. After showering, we had an orientation and an evening of icebreakers.
