    Montana! Idaho!

    March 26 in the United States ⋅ ☁️ 4 °C

    We’re on an adventure again!

Today was a big travel day — 14 hours on the road from Rosthern to Idaho Falls. We made a classic stop in Buffalo Wild Wings for supper… the wings were good — maybe not quite enough heat… or maybe a little too much depending on who you ask.

Along the way, we caught glimpses of the mountains and enjoyed the wide-open beauty of Montana.

There’s something about that drive — long stretches, big sky, and just enough scenery to keep you going.
Now we’re gearing up for the next part of the journey — the San Juan River.

We’ll be meeting up with Ang tonight for supper, and the adventure really begins from there.

  • The river - six days of canoeing

    March 29 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 17 °C

We had four incredible days of paddling.

We climbed to the rim of the canyon.
We hiked deep into the canyon.

We saw so much, experienced so much.

    We prayed together.
    We encouraged one another.
    We heard each other’s stories.

There were real moments of spiritual growth along the way.

    Then came day five.
    Rain.
    Cold.
    Wet.

    And—strangely—still full of excitement.

And after pushing through it, we were rewarded…

Waterfalls everywhere, flowing because of the rain.

    Sometimes the hardest day
ends up revealing something you would have never seen otherwise.

The last day was an easy paddle out and then we drove three hours to a place called Torrey, Utah.

  • Hitting the Rapids

    March 31 in Mexico ⋅ ☁️ 22 °C

One of the highlights of the trip—no question—was hitting the rapids today.
After days of paddling, learning, and settling into the rhythm of the river, everything built to this moment. The sound of the water, the adrenaline, the teamwork—it all came together as we moved through the rapids.
We laughed, we got soaked, and we came out the other side with a shared sense of accomplishment.
Moments like this are hard to describe—but they stay with you.
