New York City 1383.9

Our second zero day on the trail! As it should be we slept in until about 9 but especially Julia couldn't switch from our usual schedule. So we started to get very hungry but it still took us until 12 to head out and search for something edible. Not too hard in New York :) So we had a huge breakfast at a nearby Deli for a good price.
Afterwards we had a bit of Sightseeing on our mind, so we went to Moma (just the entrance, I thought it was free), Central Park, Madison Square Gardens and the Flatiron Building. Julia wanted to meet with some friends who had hosted her the first time she was in New York. They were pretty close later in the afternoon so we went with them to a rooftop bar in the Gansevoort hotel. From there we had a magnificent view of the skyline and a really nice conversation with them.

Later in the evening we needed to do our resupply which we figured out was harder than expected because the few supermarkets in Manhattan are all expensive, but some only have organic, BPM free etc etc stuff. Which means that they have almost no selection and it's even more expensive. So we just got the minimum that we needed and switched some things for others.
On the way back we got us two Mac and Cheese meals and a pack of beer which we enjoyed on the rooftop with a beautiful view over Manhattan.Read more
