Oh Canada, here we come!

We are now on the road (Sat Sept 2nd) . Looking for experiences & sights to share with our Family and Friends. Plenty to map out and plan to see... 🗾
In for the night / in Maine

Met our first destination goal, Bangor! Had an excellent, inexpensive Mexican dinner, yum...
Now we and the car can rest, for the night. 😴🛌🥱
Meeting/Friends in Calais

We attended the Sunday meeting in Calais, Maine. (Pronounced "callus")
It's 2 mins from the Border Crossing 🚸! Made some new Friends 🫂🤗 in the small congregation of 35 publishers.
Welcomed to Canada

This was THE fastest border crossing for us. All done ✅ in about 1 minute, no joke!🤣 I think we waited longer in line, maybe 2 1/2 minutes.
Our First Abode

This is quite the unique geodome, right in farm country. We can hear the cows off in the distance right now🐄🐮and the haymaker going back and forth. Lots of open skies, so star gazing willBaca lagi
Hopewell Rocks (Low Tide) - Bay of Fundy

We visited Hopewell Rocks on the Bay of Fundy, where they have the largest difference between low and high in the world! Low tide today was 1.5 feet. High tide was 44+ feet!!!

Hopewell Rocks Tide Comparison

You can see the difference in the tide location from the first two photos. #1 was taken at low tide, while #2 was taken about 3 hours later - still a couple of hours before high tide.
Natural Vistas

Practicing some photography... 📸
Not too hard working off the Creator's varied palette! 🎨
Village Acadien -- 1

Visited a period-specific recreated Acadien village. Lots of authentic history and living characters sharing "their" specific crafts and experience.

Really enjoyed our history lesson here + we got in a good country walk in the very warm sunshine🌞 .
Miscou Island Lighthouse

Neat, easy-to-reach lighthouse.
History time here... (*notice the Champlain connection). The French explorer Jacques Cartier navigated along the shores of Miscou as early as July 3, 1534. He named theBaca lagi
Ocean time relaxation

What an excellent memory we made on the eve of our 32nd anniversary ❤️ 📷.
Really felt like we were left alone in this private, peaceful spot at water's edge!
Easy anniversary

Kouchibouguac National Park

Compilation of seaside scenes we enjoyed
Lighthouses

Very similar in appearance on PEI (Prince Edward Island).
But the settings, access, and amount of private-feeling areas do vary.
Anne of Green Gables Heritage Place

This was a must-see museum tour on the national Parks Canada list. It is based on the beloved fictional character, Anne. Its intent was to make the 1908 novel blend with the real-life experiences ofBaca lagi
The Dunes Studio Gallery & Cafe

This was a doubly recommended place to visit, by sisters in a congregation on the island. Free to tour, even without buying a meal! We are pleased that we went to look for this place! Being that weBaca lagi
Dunes Cafe -- flowers aplenty

This is a sampling of the many many plants in the gardens behind the Dunes Cafe. Our photographer, Geoff, braved one of our hottest days to capture Jah's gifted beauty. 🌹🌼
Dunes Cafe --- garden scenes

More scenes of beauty behind the cafe.
Plus, a few with us there, too 🤪🤭
Entering Nova Scotia

Woke up on the Island, PEI. Went to meeting with a ton of Friends, had a huge ice cream 🍨, and crossed the 15 minute bridge. Back on the big land, and have finally entered Nova Scotia. And getBaca lagi

Miscellaneous collection here.
And some really goofy stuff, as well.
Cabot Trail & Cape Breton Highlands NP
