This sustainable farm started in 1994 with exports of ginger and turmeric but it opened to tourism in 2008. There are 150 fruit species here, but this is regenerative farming. Plants are mixed to mimic a tropical rainforest. Right now crops are used in their farm to table restaurant but they are moving to commercial venues. We are tasting a bunch of stuff, including termites (good for probiotics). Caitlin is eating a termite here. We learned how to hand-pollinate vanilla, tasted/smelled fresh cardamom, allspice, cinnamon, bele (big green delicious leaf), cacao, caviar lime, etc. and learned how the farm contributes to reducing global warming. They are sharing the knowledge with other farmers in hopes if creating more sustainable farm practices.Read more
