…is grenadilla. Related to the passion fruit I think, it opens to a gelatinous goo with seeds. It’s tasty.
Cocoa workshop

Students are learning how to make chocolate from the cocoa plant. The yellow pods contain the seeds encased in a delicious white and gooey fruit. We have to roast the seeds and then remove the skin.Les mer

El Pavon waterfall

Iguana Libre

Pacific coast beaches

Yellow river

Water is coming off Poas volcano and into this river. Because of the high sulfur content, the water is this unusual color.
Three toed sloth

Our first sloth sighting was a two-toed sloth. Today we found a three-toed sloth.
Rare bird sighting

This is the Great Potoo. The fact that we saw it today is amazing. Seeing it is very uncommon.
