El Descanso

We are in the Terraba indigenous community of El Descanso. We are in indigenous territory now and it is one of 8 communities in CR. The culture disappeared for a time after the Spaniards arrived here. They have had to work hard to reestablish the culture. There are 6,000 members in this community but half live outside.Read more
