1Crazy animals!Lots of streets and markets are named after datesMost popular crisps in Ecuador, made from plantainLots of chocolate. Strangely, Galak is also very popular.Humitas - steamed corn cakesFood was a bit more expensive than in Colombia ($9 hummus 😨?)We mostly cooked our own food1🤢Taxi's are usually white trucksAnimals (llamas, cows, dogs, pigs, ...) are often tied up - even when they're in a meadow 😢Fries are so popular here, even when your plate is already full of rice (Laura = happy)1The sweetest dogs following us around during day tripsEcuador feels more traditional, especially in terms of clothingTigrillo (plantain, eggs and cheese) and empanada de verde (from plantain)Ecuadorians love roast spits (pigs & guinea pigs)Espumilla (fluffy meringue in ice cream cones) 🍦People are quite superstitious. On local markets, you can get a spiritual cleansing.☁️The streets are filled with local eateries (a bit too risky/meaty for our stomachs)
