Nafplio

From Nafplio, we explored some of the highlights of the Peloponnese. We visited Epidaurus, the ancient healing sanctuary dedicated to Asclepius. Its famous theatre, built in the 4th century BCE, is known for its incredible acoustics (you can hear a coin drop from the top row) 🎭. Travelling in low season paid off: at one point, we had the entire theatre to ourselves.

We also wanted to visit Mycenae, but Greece recently more than doubled all archaeological site prices, so we admired it from the outside instead 😅. As an alternative, we climbed Larissa castle near Argos.

The rest of our days were filled with coffees, games, and Greek aperitifs in town. After saying goodbye 😢 to Maarten and Laura, we crawled back into Otto (conveniently parked next to a climbing wall)! 🧗‍♂️🚐Read more
