After a stormy crossing from Greece to Italy, we arrived in Bari. We got a Belgian-style welcome: 8°C and nonstop rain 🌧️. Good preparation for going home, we guess!
We rented a small apartment in Ostuni and used it as our base to explore the Puglia region. The trulli of Alberobello (traditional cone-shaped stone houses built without mortar by farmers) were especially cool to wander around. We also strolled through the cosy streets of Locorotondo, Cisternino, Polignano a Mare and Monopoli, once again confirming that Italy definitely has the most charming old towns 🏘️!
Lecce, however, was a bit of a miss. Visiting on a Monday afternoon in December meant everything was closed. The joys of travelling in low season 🐵.Read more
