Lost World

It was a big drive around, today!
First I went back into the "Tongariro Np" to see if I can climb up "Mt Raphael"- No, just in summer.
So I took of to the coast to go along the "Surf Highway 45" to "New Playmouth". Rather a bit disappointing the coast and the highway was actually inland! In the late afternoon I went along the "Lost World" highway. A very scenic strip of road along lushly green hills and lots of sheep!

Zunächst bin ich heute zurück zum “Tongariro“ Nationalpark, um dort wegen dem “Mt ...“ zu fragen. Aber nachdem man den nur ohne Schnee, also im späten Sommer begehen kann bin ich weiter an die Küste.
Die Fahrt durch ein Tal zur Küste war schon sehr aussichtsreich! Entlang des “Surf Highway 45“, welcher eher mal enttäuschend im Land anstatt an der Küste entlang geht, ging es einmal rum um den “Mt Eggmount“ nach “New Playmouth“. Dort habe ich mich entschieden heute doch noch den “Forgotten World Highway“ entlang zu fahren. Ein unglaublich schöne Fahrt durch die saftig grünen Hügel und zahlreichen Schäfchen! Czytaj więcej
