Milford Sound

After a few days in "Invercargill" (I just didn't want to move), I got along to tackle the way back northwards. I ended up back in Queenstown to go on a "Milford tour". As always it was hard to get accommodation for the night and impossible for the next days! I booked the tour and with heavy rain the bus drove off the next morning. By the time we reached "Te Anau" it actually cleared up and got nice and sunny, perfect conditions! But a little further the road was closed and after an hour waiting we went all the way back!
At least I could re schedule for the day after! Same again but different, I little later the bus picked up a hole bunch of people and there we went on the long drive.
Eventually we even got to "Milford Sound" on a beautifully sunny day. Where we got on the board for a cruise. Despite the fact that it is a fjord and not a sound it was amazing to the the 1000m cliffs coming out of the ocean!

Nachdem ich die letzten Tage in “Invercargill“ verbracht habe, da ich mich nicht bewegen wollte. Wurde es Zeit den Weg nach Norden in Angriff zu nehmen. Am Ende des Tages fand ich mich in “Queenstown“ wieder, wo mal wieder alles ausgebucht war! Aber ich wollte ja an eine “Milford“ Tour.
Los ging es früh am nächsten Morgen bei strömenden Regen. Doch als am wie “Te Anau“ erreichten klarte es auf und wurde schön Wetter (perfekte Bedingungen mit dem Regen davor). Ein wenig weiter war die Straße dann wegen umgefallen Bäumen gesperrt. Nach einer Stunde warten ging es den ganzen Weg zurück! Wenigstens konnte Ich es am nächsten Tag nochmal versuchen.
Gleiche Sache wieder nur etwas anders, wieder hat der Bus einen ganzen häufen Touristen aufgesammelt und Los ging die lange Fahrt.
Diesmal erreichten wir sogar “Milford Sound“! Dort ging es dann auf eine Bootsfahrt durch das Fjord. Was sehr beeindruckend war die 1000m hohen Klippen aus dem Meer zu sehen, trotz der Tatsache dass es ein Fjord ist und kein Sound!
