Day 46 Kennedy Meadows South

One word to describe the day: accomplished

Woke up and walked very fast into Kennedy Meadows with Tarzan, Ian and Bailey. We were all so ready to get there. The last few miles into 'town' were so pretty. Definitely starting to feel like the serria with granite rocks and walking along the Kern river.

We got into town around 12 and we're greeted with loud applause and cheers as we got to the general store. It was so fun and man I'm proud I made it here! There were quite a few people at the general store that I haven't seen for quite some time. It was a fun reunion!

I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with gauc and fries and ate it so fast 😂 You can camp behind the store for free so I set up my tent and then hung out for the rest of the evening with all the other hikers here.

Everyone is going different ways here. There are more people attempting to go through the serria than I thought there would be. I am continuing on 43 more miles to lone pine, so I'll get a mini taste and then take public transportation up to chester and go north from there.
