One word to describe the day: picturesque
Today really felt like we were starting to walk through the Sierra's. We enjoyed beautiful meadows, granite rocks, endless water, and beautiful views all day long. We had our first snow around 9,000 ft. But quickly descended back down into lower elevation. I didn't see too many people today which was nice! Sometimes the trail can be very busy. Tonight we are camping right before the next snow stretch begins. It will be nice and firm in the morning for us. I'm pretty sure we will have about 13 mi of straight snow to the trailhead we will be exiting at to get to lone pine. Tomorrow is town day already! On Wednesday, Mel and I are hopping on a bus to go to Chester. I'll see you later Sierra's!Read more

Traveler I did! I'll give it a go over the next few weeks. It may find its way back into a hiker box 🤪
