Miles hiked: 23.8
Campsite: 1531 (realized my miles will be going sobo for the Sierra)
Weather: cloudy and 60s
One word to describe the day: adjustments
This morning it was hard to get out of my sleeping bag. It was quite cold and windy. My hiking clothes were still wet and so were my shoes. Luckily it was just overcast all day and didn't continue to rain. After a few hours of hiking, everything was dry. I had some great views of lake Tahoe. The trail head been pretty quiet in this section. I've only seen two other thru hikers. I'm hoping that I will see some more people when I go into Tahoe for resupply. I enjoy hiking alone but I do enjoy the company of others as well!
It's been a struggle getting back into the trail groove. Getting on and off trail has been mentally challenging. But I'm doing my best to reset mentally in this section. I want to enjoy this because I know if I took a couple weeks off from work to do the section of trail it would be a bucket list item. This will be over before I know it and I'm going to wish I was back here.Læs mere
