• Day 142

    19. september 2023, Forente stater ⋅ ⛅ 45 °F

    Miles hiked: 20
    Campsite: glacier lake
    Weather: 40s and cloudy
One word to describe the day: chilly!

Today was very pretty but also I'm getting lonely! Its hard to connect with hikers while you're actually on trail because you could be super close to each other, but most likely won't run into each other if you're a couple miles apart. I'm really hoping that there are some cool hikers at the place. I'm going to stay the night in Steven's pass. Hopefully I can start hiking with somebody in this next stretch! I ran into a hiker who is hiking Oregon and Washington. His name is Aquaman. But he was trying to get to Steven's past tonight which was not gonna happen for me.

It's still beautiful and I'm happy to be here but human connection is nice! I've been having conversations with the pikas. They are super talkative! 🤪 It's going to be cold tonight! And the weather is calling for precipitation this evening/tomorrow morning. I think it'll be raining where I am camping tonight. But I might run into snow tomorrow on some of the higher elevations. I only have 14 miles into Stevens pass tomorrow!
