We got up at 7am and had,had a great nights sleep after our relaxing hot tub.
It was moving day again and I undone the drain for the hot tub and then made tea and coffee.
We had only unhooked the car and flopped our bed out so packing up was easy and just after 8am we left Star Wors and made our way to Augrabies Falls.
I had made notes if the journey roads saying stick to the R27 until the N14. The R27 turned out to be the longest tar road we had ever driven. The sat Nav said turn left in 230 miles and it was a straight road through the desert. We passed roughly 10 coal trucks and petrol tankers and apart from that this road was Baron. 100 miles in and we came across a very small town with a patrol station and filled up, then it was back to the road rippling with heat haze for another 130 miles.
We got to Kakamas a little town about 30 minutes away from Augrabies and then stopped in the spar to get 4 days worth of groceries. Then it was just a 20 mile 30 minute drive to Augrabies Falls National park.
We got to the camp after checking in at 3:30pm and found a nice pitch we thought was in the shade but once we had set up and the sun started setting it started to burn our legs. At 5:30pm it was still 34°c in the shade. After a light dinner of chicken salad we went to look at the falls which were fairly quiet to the last time we saw them 4 years ago. Then it was back to camp and at 7pm it was still 32°c.
I decided to head for a cold shower to cool off before we headed to bed at just after 8pm.
