Nice day cruising with the Birthday Boy 🎈. It was windy but from a good direction so not choppy. For our lunch break we anchored off Bard Rock located within the Vanderbilt Mansion National Historic Site. Moki and I of course paddled to shore and hiked up to the mansion. We are now at anchor on the inside of a bend in amazingly calm waters with a view of the Esopus Meadows Lighthouse (we did a family kayak to) and shore access to the preserve for pup walks. Steaks on the grill tonight. Pretty sunset. Life is good 😊. 31 miles today.Read more
