    Peoria Day two

    September 27, 2024 in the United States ⋅ ☁️ 72 °F

I hope all our friends made out ok with Helene. She was a beast and the devastation she left behind is heartbreaking. We are getting what’s left of her winds now and are happy to be in a Marina. Today James, Moki and I took a long walk (and bike ride) to and around downtown. We were headed to a pet store two blocks away but it was closed so we headed towards town instead. The area between us and town is pretty depressed but you miss that on the riverwalk which we took on the way back. Downtown is quite nice but not many people out. Peoria is home of Caterpillar and their footprint is huge here.Read more
