    Today we did an easy 41 mile mostly slow cruise to Beardstown. There were no locks on this run which was a nice. We are now tied up to a barge for the night that allows for a quick walk to town. Logsdon Tug Service makes tying up to their barges possible for $1 a foot. There are around 12 of us tied up tonight and they have us spread out across a couple barges and tugs. The Logsdon folks are very accommodating and moved tugs around to make sure everyone in the last group to arrive could tie up. Beardstown is small and very Mexican with lots of Mexican restaurants and stores. We went to a local favorite for margaritas and dinner… in that order !!Read more
