not planned for a stay. but unfortunately on my way to the outdoor and bike shop, my shift cable ripped right before the last hill. the only thing I don't have a spare for.
luckily a nice farmer pulled over with his pickup and gave me a lift up the hill.
rolling down to the bikeshop to get new cables just in time before closing.
outdoor shop for a new sleepingbag has to wait ( only have 7°C limit quilt)
no camping, only expensive rooms.. got the cheapest in a rundown house for 80CAD/55€.
if u wanna be a tourist in Canada especially British Colombia ... bring money. tent spot at the official bc parks is around 30-50 CAD + non BC resident fee 20$ per book. so for a night with pit toilets in the forest it's 50 bugs.. come on.
luckily most of the national parks are more in the north and I hope to get to hope ASAP. crown land and wildcamping should be possible in that direction after leaving Vancouver area.Read more
