Mitilini..is big

Yes, it is a not a big city but from what I have visited so far this looks like London. Buses, motorcycles, cars hundreds of tourists, noise..it is crazy but still beautiful. The early harbors of Mytilene were linked during ancient times by a channel 700 m long and 30 m wide. The Roman writer Longus speaks of white stone bridges linking the two sides. The Greek word εὔριπος eúripos is a commonly-used term when referring to a strait.
