Yes, it is a not a big city but from what I have visited so far this looks like London. Buses, motorcycles, cars hundreds of tourists, noise..it is crazy but still beautiful. The strait allowed ancient warships called triremes, with three tiers of rowers or more...long history and always linked to sailors. Very important stop also for all supplies.
