Storytelling Foodtour in CBD

One of the first things I always do in a new country is a food tour. This time I joined a very special one. Our tour guide Dennis was taking us to places I would have never got into by myself because I they looked really really strange for a foreigner. Sometimes I thought we are getting robbed or kidnapped for sure😅 but I was wrong. I was surprised by the most authentic and delicious food ever. Although they do not really look like that 😁

Dennis also shared so much interesting facts about the history and the different communities and the food variety of South Africa. We had local food and also dishes from Senegal and Somalia and even a fusion of different countries.

My personal highlight was the heaven coffee which was run by a former homeless guy who randomly asked the church if he can open up a coffee inside the church and they agreed 😁 I also discovered a new coffee called cafe touba which is a spice blend of djar (selim pepper) and cloves roasted together with coffee beans 👌もっと詳しく
