Rwanda turned out to be a history and african-democracy lessons. What Paul Kagame, his Goverment and the people of Ruanda accomplished in the 24 years of the genocide is short to a miracle. Back then members of the Hutu tribes killed 75% of the Tutsi tribes in 100 days.
The french could have prevented it - they didnt.
President Kagame started his Presidency with zero fonds, banks were robbed of all gold. For inaugartion ceremony he had to borrow a suit.
International Foundations and donors sponsered. Today in Ruanda close to 90% of all kids go to shool. Official language is English since 2010, along side french, suaheli and Kinyarwanda.
85% of all citizens have access to healthcare in a radius of 10-15 kilometer.
The parlament consists of 60% women. A women college has been built.
Once a month eon Saturday morning every single citizen is obliged to do community work.
The cleanliness both in the city and countryside at times was better then in Switzerland.
Ruanda is a good place as starting placey first time travelers to Africa.
    I loved it.
