Die Schülerinnen tragen in Belize eine weiße Uniform. Bei 5 schulpflichtigen Kindern (wie die Bedienung die ich grad habe).... wer kann denn da noch arbeiten???

Ich dachte ich hätte ein Viererzimmer mit Balkon, 🌊 Sicht und Hängematte gebucht🤔
Schlafen tu ich in einem dunklen, praktisch fensterlosen 10 Betten-Zimmer mit amerikanischen Collegegirls. Sie kichern🤭 und schminken sich in einem fort. Sie lästern über die gerade abwesenden und sind in Dauerpartylaune. Ich habe das Personal mit drei mal 🛏 Wechsel genervt. Jetzt habe ich das einzige Fenster des Raums, den meisten Platz und bin am nächsten zu Duschen (2) und Toilette (1). Der Vorteil ist, dass es richtig ruhig ist. Die Zimmer vorne raus liegen direkt über der Bar😱. Die Klimaanlage funktioniert bestens und es ist auch mal gut sich ins Dunkle zurück ziehen zu können bei der ganzen 🌞!Okumaya devam et

It was a very relaxing vacation. We stayed in an open natural compound in stylish huts build with only natural resources of the surroundings. Curfew from 5pm to 7am. During this time the animal roamed the compound.
On my first jog around the compund I encountered the house giraffe. His name is Barbarossa. He is allowed to stay there because he is old and weak. All of sudden I see hige legs and stop in my tracks. In follow the legs upwards and there is this huge giraffe. I did not know whether to continue arnound him or not. I stood still for about a minute, pondering. Summend up my courage and did a step torwards him. He did a step towards me... and I ran the other way:-).
We would lay around a natural stunning swimmingpool in all colours of turqious and blue. Many bushbuck and the house Giraffe would keep us company. We wen t on safari both by car and foot. Stunning.Okumaya devam et

The event took place on a rooftop terrace. The ladies were all dolled up and so beautiful. The bride has to be tempted by the musicians with music. To make sure she really wants to marry the one guy.

My preferred way to visit a country - staying with local people. The hospitality and kindness they showed were incredible. I had the chance thru my friend Mohamed to stay with his family. In the big house on the outskirt of Dakar are living;
Both his parents, one brother and two sisters with their spouses and there kids and the goats in the rooftoop. Overall 12 persons.
During meals it's the time where everybody comes together. There is a lot of laughter, discussions about politics, religion, sport, news but also the moment to talk about family issues. The food was always excellent. Mohamed's mother is the chef, queen of the kitchen (and of the family). She has two maids and their daughters which help.
I learned a lot about how they interpret the Koran on how to manage relationships in the family and the neighbourhood but also how one has to conduct oneseelf in the community. They look at the Koran as a guide for daily live.
In the Senegal Muslims anmd Christian live peaceully together, side by side.Okumaya devam et

Washing goats!

Once a week, two men comne to wash the goats. With the little onnes it's quite easy, with the big ones they struggle as you can see in the movie. The men a lot of strength, knowhow and experience.

What you see from the perspective of the boat where I am, is Ile Gorée.
It's they Island wher most of the Westafrican slaves were shipped to Las America.
We went to see one of the still intact (!) houses where the slaves were kept. Not only fron the Senegal but also many other Westafrican countries.
Nigerian women were especially desirable because they were strong and prolific.
They would kidnapp them, rape them, wait until the baby is born, raise the baby and then sell the child. Horrific.
The rooms you see are where the slaves lived. So many of them that they had to sleep in turns. Fed once a day, slaves fighting for the food.Okumaya devam et

Salsa dancing in mighty La Habana

It was my (and my friend Claudia's) frist dance trip, and our first Cuba trip, after I started Salsa dancing back home. Each participant had his own professional dance teacher. All of then graduated from the prestigous dance school of the University in Havana.
Every morning three hours of lessons in a beautiful open space. Then we would go for lunch, have our first mojito, nap and at 5 pm they would pick us up and take us to one of Havana's dance clubs until 9pm. More Mojitos:-).
