Mostar - Mosque

You can't get to Split from Dubrovnik without going through Bosnia and Herzegovina, so we made the most of it with a stop in Mostar. This town is where East meets West, and has a strong Muslim influence from the 400 years of the Ottoman Empire. This is the first mosque the girls and I have been in.

The famous bridge was commissioned by Sulyman, and was destroyed in the 1990s. They rebuilt using stones from the same quarry and using original methods.Baca lagi
