Just chillin on the beach...mmm pizza
New scooter.... 1st time riding one for 35 years! Omg I pooed my pants... but it was fun.
local town has 2 Tescos and 4+ 7-Elevens .... but also a cool local market.. yum seafood fritter with beansprouts and sushi... and no tourists in sight.
My cute red cabin at "Love at Sea"... a beer to settle in.
Walked along the beach for my 1st day volunteering at Hard Rock Dogs Rescue... 30 mins fast walk in 35 degree heat I nearly died!
Lots of characters..Dogs and people!
Lovely Japanese noodle soup to finish off the last day in Bangkok... non tourist spicy at last... the chilli ground pork ball blew my head off.... it helped me recover from seeing the Pfizer office.
I got to thinking about Buddhism... I've always been a bit drawn to some of their philosophy.. but they have disappointed me here... relatively high prices to see temples and donation requests at every footfall, priority seating on the metro, private lounge at the train station, areas not accessible to foreigners... seems a conflict to me.
Interesting train journey... 5 hours, weird food( green custard bun, 2 mains and rice) good views, supervised on and off by a conductor plus a 20 minute speech by the guard ( I wish I understood it.... what can he have talked about for that long!?)Read more
Damnoen Saduak Floating Market... what a shit hole! Long morning trip to see hundreds of other tourists float around a smog filled overpriced market which has never seen a local person. people taking pictures of you with snakes and Slow Loris who have had their teeth ripped out so they don't bite you! ☹😠..... really never go there!
Had to have a lovely Korean lunch to recover 😀Read more
