Pat EslerHaha! Unless bike shops are expanding their repertoires, i think you can safely assume it was the bike's bottom bracket. Mind you, they couldn't do anything to replace the aged bracket, as they didn't have a replacement the correct length. So he just spruced up the old one, which had been complaining a bit.
