On my way to Uyuni desert

Yesterday it became clear why Pietertje didnt have enough power. The diesel filter in the carborater was filthy, probably from the old Diesel. So that got fixed. The next problem which had to be solved was the fact that in Boliva tank stations are not allowed to sell fuel to foreigners, except for specially designated tank stations. After four different patrol stations they told me that in the next village there were some small shops that sold diesel. And indeed after asking around I found a shop who filled me with 40liters of diesel. Oh well. Today I drove 350km and everything went fine after fixing the wipers in the morning. The electrician told mw that there is a problem causing the "kortsluiting", but we bought new fuses. So far so good. All in all a great day of driving through the endless steppe of Bolivia.Read more
