    Today I travelled to Necochea and picked up two hitchikers. We discussed economics. Both comstruction workers were making USD 15 per day. One of them had 5 kids to feed. Of his USD 15 per day USD 5 went to food. The remainder he had to pay rent and other expenses. Both agreed that inflation was killing them and that it was against the poor. They also acknowledged that the old Politicians in power were corrupt and change necessary. Everywhere you go in the country its notable how Argentina is not investing. Having said that Argentina has deep social roots and its a big question whether the population can stomach the price that needs to be paid before reforms will bare fruit. The country needs fundamental reform. Can Milei do it, my life experience in Russia has been that people want stability and as they say its better to life with the devil you know than a promised saint.Read more
