Cloudy day

It’s a cloudy day today, we opted to go do grocery shopping and laundry. We had been back at the motorhome for about 30 minutes and Les was sitting down with his soda when a large bird flew in and landed on the back side trunk of the tree 10’ from our door. It poked its head around the tree and Les got VERY excited. It was a Pileated Woodpecker. Jill quickly told him to get pictures with the phone. The woodpecker went down the trunk and started rooting around at the base of the tree. At that point it was behind our bikes locked to the table. Then Les spotted a second Pileated Woodpecker on the opposite side of the tree doing the same as the first. But its head was down and every time its head popped up into view, Les would take a photo, but there was always a delay and by the time the photo was taken, the woodpecker’s head was back down out of view. Finally the woodpecker moved into full view so Les could get some good photos. The woodpecker flew to another tree briefly and then flew off.
