A Morning on the Mesabi Trail

The morning was temp. was right for a bike ride. So we headed out on the Mesabi Trail from the main parking lot of the fairgrounds. The trail is 155 miles long all paved except for about 5-6 miles somewhere way north of here. It was not a Rails to Trails route, but mostly levelish with some mild ups and downs. That is what the electric motors are for. The trail wanders through birch forests and past lakes. Some of the lakes are reclaimed iron mines. We went out 6.1 miles to a road crossing where we turned around and headed back.Læs mere
