Heading In Land

Leaving the coast, we traveled on a number of smaller roads to Milo McIver State Park. It is a nice State Park except for two things. First, the canopy of trees was too dense for Starlink to work and cell service was quite limited, but we were able to watch PBS news. Second was the speed bumps. The speed limit is 25 mph, so on the only straight flat portion of the park road, they installed 4 speed bumps. A normal car has to slow to 10 mph to go over them. A motorhome towing a vehicle has to slow down to 3 mph. Les hit the first one he didn't see at about 10 mph, it about jarred his teeth out and he does not have false teeth.Read more
