    Moved, but didn't Leave

    Tomorrow, Les has to make the 5 hour round trip to pick up Jill in Happy Valley, OR. But the reservation here at Pacific City had him leaving here tomorrow. Without Jill to navigate, Les didn't want to take the motorhome back through the twists and turns. So we extended out stay at Thousand Trails Pacific City for another day or two. The problem was that B3 campsite was reserved tomorrow by someone else. So Les opted to move to a different site today so he could get an early start tomorrow morning. Today started with a little rain and it was cloudy all day. The views are limited, so Les stayed with Indy in the motorhome and watched TV after moving to campsite A23. Starlink has spotty connection in the new site, but the campground WiFi works just fine.
    Just after the intiial post of this footprint, Les noticed the sun peeking through the trees and decided, He and Indy should go to the beach. The McPhillips Beach Vehicle Beach Access was only a few hundred yards from the campground entrance. We parked on the beach and walked around and plaied and took a few pictures. Les stayed on damp wet sand and forded a tiny fresh water stream. He used 4 wheel drive to climb back up the hill to the parking area.    Read more
