    Waking up in Dubai... Going to sleep in Bali 👌! Only down side was the 13 hour commute lol

    It's half 12 at night and just arrived at our hotel. Had a bit of a nightmare with taxis getting here and people trying to overcharge. The hotels on the main strip and looks night the nightlife is good... Just hoping the pool is relaxing!Lue lisää

    Monkey forest & Rice terrace!

    Whilst on our private tour we stopped by a monkey forest and rice terrace...
    Monkey's are well cheeky, not even split the banana bunch up and one were pulling my top down and pinching one out my hand! Soo cute though!
    The rice terrace was really pretty to look at! We could walk round but we chose not to and sat having a drink overlooking them instead 😂

    Headed back to the hotel after this for another lovely meal! Top day👌    Lue lisää

    Hello Australia !

    So the last few days in Bali we just chilled and did a bit of souvenir shopping!

    It was an early start yesterday morning with a short flight across to Perth. Upon arrival at the airport Gail and Iona met us with massive balloons!

    Iona drove us back to their house where we are staying for the week.. Lovely place! After a freshen up we headed for a BBQ on a boat for a fabulous evening and welcome to Australia meal! 👌    Lue lisää

    Pinnacles

    Best nights sleep of the trip!

    Today we drove north to the Pinnacles... It took us approximately 1 and a half hours down some long straight roads. They're in Cervantes, a small town which also has a lovely beach.

    The Pinnacles themselves were amazing, covering a large area which we could drive around and through. Also managed to see 2 Kangaroos too!

    Gail had a lovely Thai green curry in the slow cooker for our return 👌perfect end to the day!    Lue lisää

    Seeing the sights of Perth

    Over the last few days we have been seeing the sights of Perth!

    Tuesday we drove through the city centre and realised there isn't much there so we headed down to King's park... Beautiful views of the city.
    Wednesday we headed to Caversham wildlife park (separate entry as I can't fit the pics on!)

    Wednesday evening Iona chose a lovely place on Hillary's boat yard to eat.. Ordered some ribs which were fab 👌    Lue lisää

    Caversham Wildlife Park

    Lovely day at the wildlife park! Seen lots of different animals and birds, a parrot that spoke to us was really cool 😎

    Not so keen on all the animals being caged in such small spaces as I think all animals should have the right to run around. The Kangaroos were far more interesting to see in the wild!

    We saw some Koala bears 🐨 which was really cute, one tried to cuddle Gail however the lady stopped it!

    Rottnest Island

    Home of the Quokka - The happiest animal on earth 😍

    We make an early start and caught the ferry across to Rottnest Island in the hope to see some Quokkas. The Island only has a small population so you could pretty much have a beach to yourself! We didn't as it was a bit cold haha! Many people rides bikes around the island but we chose to do the bus tour.

    We got off the bus on the far end of the island at a viewing point where we was able to see seals and whales in the distance 😍

    Going back to the start of the island we found some Quokkas which looked like big rats with cute faces haha 🤣
    We played some cards in the sun before heading back to the ferry ⛴

    On the following day we decided to take a trip whale watching which was superb! Just not really got any decent pictures!
    Finished the evening off with watching the sun set over Burns beach!    Lue lisää

    Last day in Perth! ☹️

    To round off our trip to Perth we got up and had breakfast on Burns Beach, that's the local beach to where Gail lives... Food was amazing along with the views!

    After breakfast we headed to the vineyards for wine tasting 👌. Little buffet for tea before saying goodbye to my amazing balloon, and both Gail and Iona!

    What an amazing trip it's been!

    Oh Hello Sydney!

    So I made the mistake of not checking my emails and realising our flight had been moved forward 2 hours, luckily we left Gail's just short of 3 hours early of what we believed to be the flight time. So we was in the airport for the whole of 40minutes from start to finish lol.

    Landing at Sydney at 6am with no sleep and getting to the hotel we was greeted by a lovely receptionist who arranged a room for us (instead of the 2pm check in) and also a free breakfast! 👌 😀 what a God send!

    After a well needed nap we headed out for to find the nearest Harbour and a walk along the front... We came across the aquarium and headed in which kept us entertained for a few hours!

    Got ourselves a bottle of wine to take back to the room... Absolutely shattered so early night to make the most out of tomorrow 😀    Lue lisää

    Ferry to Manly

    Today we walked down to Darling harbour to catch the ferry across to Manly. The views whilst on the ferry were amazing!

    We walked the length of Manly beach and back, stunning beach but really busy!
    Walking back to the ferry we came across a crystal stop and we both had psychic readings which were spot on! 👌

    We was able to watch the sunset back on the ferry 😍😍 followed by having our evening meal on the harbour front!    Lue lisää

    Checking out the city!

    There's a free walking tour on in Sydney most days so we thought we could pop along. It was a 2.5 hour walk around the city telling us the history of every statue...

    We spent time walking around the rocks area of Sydney after the tour which is a lovely little place. On the way back we went into a convict museum - below is a picture of their accommodation 🙊

    After a siesta we headed down to a festival which was rammed so we just stayed for a pimms! Had another lovely meal down on Darling harbour and spent a bomb! 😀    Lue lisää

    Bondi - Coogee Beach

    Last night I received an email that my mum's kindle had been found and is at the airport (she had unfortunately left it on the flight to Sydney). First thing we took the train to the airport and collected it 👌

    Trains were really expensive so we took an Uber taxi to Bondi beach to take out walk, Bondi - Coogee. It was such a lovely walk, took around 3 hours, and we were definitely ready for a gin afterwards!    Lue lisää

    Blue Mountains & Watson Bay!

    Today we hired a car for a road trip...

    We headed up into the Blue Mountains, first going to a water fall which we had to walk down 500 steps to find that it's dried up! Lol we went to a few different view points after this to see the 'three sisters' rock formation - views were spectacular!

    On the way back we Googled the best place to see the sunset in Sydney. Ended up at Watson Bay and we definitely was not disappointed!

    Journey home

    Had a 12 o clock check out this morning so we was able to have a lie in. Weather was pretty naff in Sydney.. Like England was welcoming us home!

    We spent the afternoon wandering around Sydney getting the last few souvenirs before we leave. Caught a taxi to the airport for our 9.45pm flight. Had ourselves a fair well meal at the airport which were bloody good!

    The flight from Sydney to Dubai has been just over 14 hours so has been a long one! Currently Sat waiting for our final flight back into Manchester which should be around 7 hours.

    This truly has been one amazing trip! 👌 😀    Lue lisää
