• New member, new toastie

    20. november, Australien ⋅ ⛅ 15 °C

This week, our toastie club welcomed its newest (and tiniest) member: an almost one‑year‑old who already knows the true meaning of commitment—drool. And honestly, that set the tone perfectly for the toastie we tried.

    First Impressions

    • Looked: Golden, promising, like it had just auditioned for a food magazine cover.
    • Smelt: Delicious, with that “I’m about to ruin your self-control” aroma.
    • Garnish: Parsley perched on top like it was auditioning for Best Supporting Herb. Necessary? Debatable. Pretty? Absolutely.

    The Plot Twist

Then came the moment of truth: the lift. Instead of a crisp crunch, we got… Niagara Falls. Water dripped out as if the toastie had been secretly training for a synchronized swimming competition. Very strange. Very soggy. Very… avant‑garde.

    The Verdict

Despite its unexpected aquatic tendencies, hunger is the ultimate seasoning. And in that moment, soggy or not, this toastie was still great. Our new junior member seemed to approve too—though their review was mostly babbles and enthusiastic clapping, which honestly might be the most accurate rating system yet.
