Bratislava hat ein deutlich kleineres Stadtzentrum als Budapest, dafür sind die Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuss gut erreichbar. Wähend uns die mittelalterliche Innenstadt gut gefällt, warten die Osteuropa - Klischees hinter jeder Ecke. Das Hotel empfielt uns einen grossen Park auf der anderen Donauseite. Dieser kann selbst mit viel gutem Willen nur als ziemlich trostlos bezeichnet werden. Auch sind von da alte, verlassene Industriebrachen nicht weit. Jannick beschreit die stereotypische Stimmung, welches wir in osteuropäischen Gegenden erwarten treffend als "Orte mit einer Fülle an Leere".
Aber naja, Fazit: hübsches Städtchen, jedoch nur solange man in der unmittelbaren Altstadt oder der Burg bleibt.

Bratislava has a much smaller city centre than Budapest, but the sights are within easy walking distance. While we like the medieval city centre, the Eastern European clichés are waiting around every corner. The hotel recommended a large park on the other side of the Danube.
