    Day 1

    Off to the first event for a long time since Covid and our new truck and caravan for its first run, been along time in the making many hours of wiring and setting stuff up and it all came together well, headed off around 11 and had a good run to Sale polo cross grounds, truck went well and the horses travelled great no probs at all, set up with Sas on the job as well we were done in no time and chilled out the weather was a bit ordinary rain on and off, the girls did a little bit of horse work, had a few drinks, cooked burgers on the barbie, sat around with Cal, Sas, Jack, Brent and Mel into bed around 10 was super windy 🌬Read more

    Day 2 Team Penning

    Was a windy night from the east with a bit of rain, up at 6:30 for an 8 o’clock start, horses and cattle were all a bit fresh, just a reflection of the great season we are having, the girls went ok penned 3 here and there but not consistent over the day but Sas and Mel managed to get a 4th place with Locky, great work, Tim and Stacy came for the day for a look, had few bevies in the avo and then cooked up dinner and went next door to the Douglas’s camp and played Molky for a while, into bed around 11, still a little light rain hanging around.Read more

    Day 3 Arena sorting

    Was a much Quieter night weather wise but the camps were pumping up the way, took a little bit to tune in to sleep but all good, up early and bacon eggs breakfast, arena sorting today, Sas and Mel went ok got 14 cattle thru in there 2 runs and Teresa and Gayle not so good, but a had a great time anyway, cattle must of been tuff only one team got the full 20 thru for the day. Teresa had a win in there raffle and then it was pack up time, was much more streamlined with the truck and van, had a quick lunch and hit the road home around 2:30, was a great weekend, not much to unpack off to Buchan next weekend to do it all again 👍Read more
