Woke up this morning to few rain drops on the caravan roof, was all done before we got out for a cuppa, was a quite night only a few of us here. While Teresa went for a ride I walked into town and had a look around not much in Ensay the store is gone and the pub is probably the only attraction, just had a chill out day before the afternoon got busy with lots of people coming in ended up with a few backing jobs of horse floats to squeeze them in by the time it was well and truly dark we had everyone sorted.
Was a very cold night with a little breeze didn’t last long at the fire before bed.Read more
Up early to help get the yard sorted, drove the little truck around and picked up stuff before parking it up as the judges stand, then moved a few panels around in the arena to make the penn, breakfast was next then it was time to get the day under way.
Teresa didn’t do any good in the morning runs but penned 2 then 3 in the afternoon, was a long day watching for Kim and myself but was good, didn’t do well enough for a ribbon but made up it for it with a good time around the fire, lots of music going into the night but slept ok anyway.Read more
Sunday morning was a bit sad for a few after a big night of partying, the girls were a bit secondhand but ok, just a short day of ranch sorting with 25 teams to get through twice, kicked off at 9 and finished up at 12:30, Teresa and her team did ok but didn’t get the ten through in order in either run.
Cooked up some dimmy’s for lunch then packed up and hit the road around 1:30 and got home 3, had a great weekend in the high county 👍Read more
