    Day 1 Setup

    Off to another weekend of horsing around at Sale polo cross grounds for the Gippsland Team Penning event, hit the road around 12 and had a nice run down the highway, got in a bit after 1:30 after a quick stop in at Lindenow on the way for a few dimmy’s and potato cakes, unloaded the ponies and set up camp, just chilled out for the avo, Gayle arrived late in the afternoon so we had a few bevies and sat around the fire until the drizzle set in, cooked up chicken Kiev’s for tea and hit the sack early.Read more

    Day 2 Team Penning

    Up early to a bit of light rain, had some good showers overnight but nothing to be a problem, by sunrise it all had cleared up, Sas and Cal arrived around 7 the girls saddled up the horses ready for rider briefing and had there first run early, back to camp for a quick bacon and egg breakfast then back to the arena for another 2 runs for the morning, was a nice day overall and warmed up, had a bit of lunch then the girls had another 3 runs in the avo, overall they had a good day managed to pen 3 a couple of times but in different teams, cranked up the fire and cooked jaffles for tea and had a few bevies to finish off the day.Read more

    Day3 Ranch Sorting

    Slept well overnight and up around 6:30 to get ready for the day, late start this morning at 9 so plenty of time to get ready, the girls went well with Locky in there first run got all ten through the gate in order under 2 minutes, only 20 teams so wasn’t long between runs and they bummed out in there second, had a bit of lunch from the Rosedale lions club catering and then back to camp to start pack up, wandered over for presentation and they managed a 6 place and took home a ribbon for there efforts, loaded the horses on and hit the road home, lots of traffic as usual for a Sunday got home around 1, another great weekend away horsing around and camping out 👍👍Read more
